John H Moye
History
John H. Moye moved to Jacksonville with his family when he was 16 years old. During the early 1980’s he worked as a draftsman for the City of Jacksonville, while pursuing his civil engineering degree at the University of Florida. After graduating in 1984, he went to work for a local engineering firm prior to founding Moye & Morales, Inc. with his wife and fellow engineer, Arelys Morales Moye.
Qualifications
Mr. Moye provides experience in both private consulting and public engineering on a diverse number of civil engineering projects. With over 40 years of experience, Mr. Moye has provided design and analysis of transportation, drainage, water and sewer for residential, commercial, industrial, governmental, educational, and athletic facilities projects. Mr. Moye’s ability to solve complex engineering problems with practical solutions has set him apart in the engineering field.
Arelys Morales Moye
History
Arelys Morales Moye is a native of Maracaibo, Venezuela, where her father was a civil engineer who built high rise condominiums. After finishing high school, Mrs. Moye moved to Lausanne, Switzerland to study at the Château Mont-Choisi. From an early age, Mrs. Moye’s dream was to study in the United States and pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. In the late 1970s, Mrs. Moye moved to Gainesville, Florida where she attended the University of Florida, earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and met her husband. After graduating in 1984, she relocated to Jacksonville where she worked towards opening Moye & Morales, Inc.
Qualifications
Mrs. Moye is an exceptionally qualified and experienced civil engineer whose expertise in structural design, construction administration, and project management make her invaluable to the everyday operations of Waitz & Moye, Inc. Her wide range of experience, organizational skills, and bilingual proficiency offer additional depth to the overall strength of the firm.
